Physical AI, with personality. DotBot is a Box Signal concept for a small, friendly AI companion designed to see, listen, communicate and interact naturally with the world around it.
A LITTLE BLACK SPHERE WITH A BIG IDEA.
DotBot began as a simple character: a matte-black sphere with two expressive eyes. The DB-01 study explores how that visual identity might translate into a real physical-AI product.
This is a creative product concept rather than a production engineering specification. The aim is to define the character, experience and design direction while leaving detailed engineering, certification and manufacture to specialist technology partners.
Approachable physical AI for homes, education, accessibility, creative work and everyday interaction.
Future versions could explore richer sensing, mobility, smart-home interaction and other forms of embodied AI while preserving the simple DotBot identity.
